YOU HAVE LIMITED TIME TO FILE YOUR CLAIM
UPDATE: As recently as June 2020, Bayer has reached verbal agreements to resolve a significant portion of lawsuits filed against it which the company inherited following its acquisition of Monsanto in 2018. While an estimated 125,000 cancer-related lawsuits have been filed in the United States, this agreement aims to settle between 50,000 and 85,000 of them. The deal includes a $10 billion payout by Bayer in an attempt to end the expensive legal battle. While Bayer has refused to comment on settlements, payouts to individuals can be expected to amount between a few million to a couple thousand.

WHAT IS GLYPHOSATE?
The active ingredient in Roundup is glyphosate, a synthetic herbicide, and has been linked to increased risk of lymphoma and leukemia. Glyphosate is the most used agricultural chemical worldwide and is used to kill unsightly weeds and grasses. 9.4 million tons of glyphosate have been sprayed onto fields worldwide while Americans account for approximately 1.8 million tons.
TYPES OF CANCER
Exposure to glyphosate may result in cancer. Specific types of cancer associated with exposure include:
Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (NHL)
Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma is one of the most common cancers in the United States. Nearly 80,000 people will be diagnosed with NHL in 2020. Symptoms of non-Hodgkin lymphoma include swollen lymph nodes, abdominal pain and swelling, chest pain, fever, persistent fatigue, and unexplained weight loss. B-cell Lymphoma is the most common form of NHL and accounts for about 85% of cases while T-cell Lymphoma accounts for roughly 15%.
Symptoms of leukemia include fever, chills, frequent or severe infections, swollen lymph nodes, enlarged liver or spleen, recurrent nosebleeds, and easy bleeding or bruising.
WHO IS AT RISK?
Any person who has come in contact with Roundup through their occupation or personal use. Individuals such as farmers, landscapers, garden center employees, yard maintenance workers, at home gardeners, and others who have used Roundup weed killer are considered to be at risk of developing non-Hodgkin lymphoma or other forms of cancer.
While minor exposure to Roundup can certainly cause non-Hodgkin Lymphoma and Leukemia, those who are seriously at risk include farmers, gardeners, and landscapers, or those who have significant exposure to glyphosate.
Anyone who has been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma after using Roundup may be eligible to file a lawsuit.
IS THERE A TIME LIMIT I CAN FILE A LAWSUIT?
Generally, each state has its own statute of limitations which dictates filing deadlines. This time varies between each state, usually amounting to between two and four years from the time of injury, in this case, a cancer diagnosis. As current dealings with Bayer move toward a Roundup settlement, time is of the essence in filing a claim for relief as the settlement could create problems with statutes of limitations. If you believe you or someone you know may have a claim, the time to come forward is now.
HAVE THERE BEEN OTHER LAWSUITS FILED?
Thousands of lawsuits have been filed against Monsanto (now Bayer), by individuals claiming that exposure to Roundup resulted in non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. While no class action lawsuits have been settled at this time, cases involving individuals have resulted in large settlements. A San Francisco groundskeeper was awarded $289 million in a jury award after a court determined that his non-Hodgkin Lymphoma was due to exposure to Roundup weed killer. Similarly, a jury awarded two individuals $2 billion after the California couple was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin Lymphoma from regular use of Roundup on their lawn. In yet another case out of California, a man who was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin Lymphoma was awarded $80.2 million after using Roundup for over 30 years to treat his property.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AS A SETTLEMENT IF I HAVE A CLAIM?
When dealing with product liability cases, the result of the first case generally sets the bar for negotiations for future cases. With regard to Roundup cases, the first set of claims resulted in huge verdicts for the injured parties. While this doesn’t guarantee that every individual harmed by Roundup will receive multi-million-dollar settlements, it does mean that in terms of a settlement package, those with valid claims will likely have higher awards.
With the pending case numbers sitting over 18,000, it is likely that a tiered recovery system will be implemented. This means that those with the highest exposure to Roundup such as farmers, landscapers, etc., with diagnosed non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, will likely be the top tier, while those with less exposure and other types of cancers will fall on a lower tier.
While the amount of recovery in dollars may be purely speculative, we want to assure you that your injuries matter regardless of degree and we will fight for the recovery you deserve.
