- Go to the Texas Department of Transportation’s Crash Report Online Purchase System website (https://cris.dot.state.tx.us/public/Purchase/app/home/welcome).
- Click on the “Purchase a Crash Report Online” button.
- Enter the required information, such as the date of the accident, the county where the accident occurred, and the name of at least one driver involved in the accident.
- Click on “Search” to retrieve a list of available reports that match the search criteria.
- Select the report you want to purchase and click on “Buy Now.”
- Enter your personal and payment information and submit the payment.
- Once the payment is processed, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to download the report.
Note that there is a fee to purchase a police report online in Texas, and it can take up to 10 days for the report to become available for download.
